New grown up experiences:

1. I've been to the dry cleaners. I gave them my coat, because it was dirty. They won't give it back. After they had already taken it from me, they told me it would be "about a week." This seemed like a long time, but being young and naive in the ways of sophisticated grown-up businesses like dry cleaners, I let it pass. But today was a week and I went back, and they said it wasn't there yet. Now they say "early next week". What are they doing to it? Re-weaving the fabric?

2. I've been to a wine tasting party. Now I know how to sniff at wine and look at its body and all those snooty things. Learning all these things did make me like the wine a little better. Then they wanted you to buy something. I bought the dessert wine, the one that tasted the least like wine. And that tasted really good with cheesecake. And then at the end I won the prize. I got some glasses full of cookies, 'cause I'm special and got my name drawn out of a small stack of papers.
